He was working until mid 2001 as a senior scientist at the University of Oldenburg, managing the wind energy activities of the energy and semiconductor group from 1992 to 2001. Dr. Waldl received a Diploma degree in Physics at the University of Oldenburg and holds a PhD degree in Physics from the University of Oldenburg ("Modelling the power output from wind farms"). He has managed several national research projects. Emphasis of his current work is wind energy meteorology, wind farm effects, software development, system design, development of training and education activities, consulting and coaching, and project management.
is managing director of and partner in Overspeed. Until the end of 2000 he worked as a senior consultant at the German wind energy institute DEWI. He received a Diploma degree in Physics at the University of Oldenburg. Focus of his work are meteorological and technical consulting, wind energy potential studies, wind farm layout, teaching in the field of renewable energies, wind farm visualisation, software development and project management. At DEWI and for Overspeed, he participated in several EU-projects. One of his current main activities is consulting and development work for the offshore wind farm „Sandbank24".
